Messages Uncover the late financier and former Trump strategist Connection

Steve Bannon
Bannon was one of the former president's closest strategists prior to stepping down from the White House in 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside more than 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by matching the dates, events, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein before his death and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit thing this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Best-- so others get the commitment of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys over here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally toppled in 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited recently after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
